The United States Army Special Operations Command’s Black Daggers Parachute Team present a token of appreciation to Col. Sean Bernaby, Task Force Marne commander, 3rd Infantry Division and Command Sgt. Major John Johnson, Task Force Marne command sergeant major, 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, Georgia on Nov. 15, 2017 before the SFC Thornsbury obstacle competition. The obstacle course competition is part of Marne Week, a celebration for Soldiers to compete in team sports and recreational group activities while honoring the division’s service to the nation. This month marks the centennial anniversary of the Marne Division. Born out of World War I, the division has answered the nation’s call for 100 years.
