U.S. Marine Corps 1st Lt. Chris Brock (left), executive officer of Company L, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines, Regimental Combat Team 8, conducts a serialized gear inventory with U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Eric McEntire, an armorer with Headquarters Company, Battalion Landing Team 3/8, RCT8, as part of a turnover at their patrol base in Helmand province's Green Zone, west of the Nahr-e Saraj canal, April 17. U.S. Marines with 3/4 conducted a relief in place with BLT 3/8 in Afghanistan in April 2011. Elements of 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit deployed to Afghanistan to provide regional security in Helmand province in support of the International Security Assistance Force.
