Joshua McKee, a rifleman with 1st Plt, Company I, BLT 3/8, RCT 8, prepare to depart friendly lines during a joint security patrol as part of a turnover at their patrol base in Helmand province's Green Zone, west of the Nahr-e Saraj canal, April 17. U.S. Marines with 3/4 conducted a relief in place with BLT 3/8 in Afghanistan in April 2011. Elements of 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit deployed to Afghanistan to provide regional security in Helmand province in support of the International Security Assistance Force.
