26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable)     

U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Patrick Scott (center) assists U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Ferris Amra, both with Company L, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines, Regimental Combat Team 8, with his gear before a joint security patrol with U.S. Marines of 1st Platoon, Company I, Battalion Landing Team 3/8, RCT8, as part of a turnover at their patrol base in Helmand province's Green Zone, west of the Nahr-e Saraj canal, April 18. U.S. Marines with 3/4 conducted a relief in place with BLT 3/8 in Afghanistan in April 2011. Elements of 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit deployed to Afghanistan to provide regional security in Helmand province in support of the International Security Assistance Force.
