Senior Master Sgt. Timothy Laney, of the 119th Civil Engineer Squadron, hops off of a farm tractor after crossing a flooded section of road leading into a flooding farmstead home April 12 near Enderlin, N.D. Laney is a member of a quick response force team bringing sandbags into the farmstead in the bucket of the tractor. The tractor is one of the few vehicles light enough and high enough to cross a precarious section of flooded roadway leading to the farmstead without damaging the road. As of April 12, more than 500 N.D. National Guard airmen and soldiers are conducting flood operations in North Dakota, with the vast majority in Cass County.
