Stuard Stegall, a platoon leader assigned to 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, provides feedback from his evaluation of a training exercise at Forward Operating Base Normandy, Iraq, March 23. Iraqi cadre, previously trained by U.S. forces, instructed the Tadreeb al Shamil courses, while U.S. soldiers assumed a supervisory role, reviewed the events and provided feedback. Stuard and his platoon of 1st Bn., 27th Inf. Regt., "Wolfhound," soldiers, part of the 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, plan to transition full control of the 25-day Tadreeb al Shamil courses to IA leadership by summer.
