170915-N- HS500-035 CAMP FUJI, JAPAN (Sept. 15, 2017) U.S. Army medical personnel, assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, work with medical personnel of the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force to administer an intravenous therapy needle (IV) as part of exercise Orient Shield 2017 at Camp Fuji, Sept. 15, 2017. The exercise is designed to enhance U.S. and Japan combat readiness and interoperability at the tactical level while strengthening bilateral relationships and demonstrating U.S. resolve to support the security interests of friends and allies in the region.
