Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, demonstrate the
administration of intravenous therapy (IV) to Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force
medical personnel as part of exercise Orient Shield 2017 at Camp Fuji, Sept. 15,
2017. The exercise is designed to enhance U.S. and Japan combat readiness and
interoperability at the tactical level while strengthening bilateral relationships and
demonstrating U.S. resolve to support the security interests of friends and allies in
