A tattered American flag remains aloft in the Texas wind above debris removed from disaster stricken houses near the community of Lumberton, Texas, on Sept. 11.
Soldiers assigned to Task Force Aleutian's Damage Assessment Team, a component of Task Force Arkansas, went out into the recently flooded community of Lumberton to report the estimated damage to every single house, within their area of operations, to their higher command.
This photo serves only as a small snapshot of the overall devastation to the areas affected by Hurricane Harvey.
