Lt. Col. Scronce of the 156th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron looks out the back of a parked North Carolina Air Nation Guard C-130 Hercules, before offloading eleven patients that were evacuated from Key West Florida, to the Gadsden Regional Medical Center in Alabama, while at the Northeast Alabama Regional Airport, Gadson Alabama, Sept. 6, 2017. The patients were evacuated prior to the arrival of Hurricane Irma, a category five storm that is expected to cause catastrophic damage to the regions it makes landfall. The 156th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron of the North Carolina Air National Guard provides medical care for wounded individuals while transporting them to alternate locations for further care.
