CAIRNS, Australia – Soldiers from the Australian Defence Force and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army interact after an Aboriginal culture class on the opening day of Exercise Kowari 2017 Aug. 23, 2017. After an opening ceremony, the soldiers and Marines also took part in boomerang throwing and hut building activities to give the visiting troops from the US and China a taste of Indigenous Australian culture. Kowari is an annual training activity held in Australia to reinforce trilateral military relationships, trust and co-operation between Australia, China and the United States.
