Noel Smalls of the 926th Engineer Battalion, and SPC Mark Hathaway of the HHC 926th Engineer Brigade helps establish the grade on a moving-rail target system for a non-standard live-fire range. The base receiver is a stationary GPS that receives its location from a satellite. It is always assembled at a known location to maintain accurate coordinates. They are establishing the grade for a moving rail-target system at the non-standard live-fire range at Joint National Training Center, Cincu, Romania. This project is part of Resolute Castle 17, an operation to help build relationships with the NATO alliance and enhance its capacity for joint training and response to threats within the region.
