Sponsored by the Army Reserve’s 81st RSC and hosted by Maj. Gen. Bill Gerety, the event brought several dozen “Gold Star” family members of deceased Soldiers from more than 200 miles to the Columbia, S.C. area for several hours to remember and celebrate those who were lost.
