Lisa Caughman helps make scrapbooking pages for “Gold Star” families during the second annual Survivor Outreach Services holiday gathering Dec. 11 at Fort Jackson, S.C. Sponsored by the Army Reserve’s 81st Regional Support Command and hosted by Maj. Gen. Bill Gerety, the event brought several dozen “Gold Star” family members of deceased Soldiers from more than 200 miles to the Columbia, S.C. area for several hours to remember and celebrate those who were lost. Caughman lost their brother, Army Reservist Spc. Thomas Caughman, June 9, 2004 during combat operations in Iraq.
