Sgt. Gavin Jenkins, the maintenance management chief, and Cpl. Margarito Perez, a supply clerk, both with 1st Marine Division (Forward), raise the Marine Corps flag during morning colors in front of the 1st MarDiv(Fwd) headquarters, Dec. 4. The Marines also raised the flags of the United States, and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Jenkins, 23, is a native of Orange County, Calif., and Perez, 20, is from Los Angeles.
