Marines with Weapons Company, Battalion Landing Team, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, fire a .50-caliber Browning Machine Gun during training at Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan, June 1, 2017. The M2, sometimes called the “Ma Deuce,” is the oldest machine gun currently in the Marine Corps’ arsenal. BLT 3/5 is currently deployed as the Ground Combat Element of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. Weapons Company is the heavy-weapons elements of BLT 3/5.
