Marines with Weapons Company, Battalion Landing Team, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, fire a Mark 19 automatic grenade launcher from the turret of a Humvee during training at Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan, June 1, 2017. The Mark 19 is designed to suppress and destroy enemy threats, and fires 40 mm high explosive grenades at up to 375 rounds a minute. BLT 3/5 is currently deployed as the Ground Combat Element of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. Weapons Company is the heavy-weapons elements of BLT 3/5.
