The Mark 19 is designed to suppress and destroy enemy threats, and fires 40 mm high explosive grenades at up to 375 rounds a minute. BLT 3/5 is currently deployed as the Ground Combat Element of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. Weapons Company is the heavy-weapons elements of BLT 3/5.
