    Capt. Thomas Negus, commodore of Continuing Promise 2010, meets with the Prime Minister of Guyana Samuel Hinds in the flag mess aboard the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima. Iwo Jima is anchored off the coast of Guyana conducting a Continuing Promise 2010 humanitarian civic assistance mission. The assigned medical and engineering staff embarked aboard Iwo Jima are working with partner nation teams to provide medical, dental, veterinary and engineering assistance in eight countries.
