Nurses of Dil Chora Hospital practice patient assessment and care during the first week-long emergency medical technician refresher course, a partnership between Dil Chora Hospital, soldiers of the U.S. Army 418th Civil Affairs Battalion, Charlie Company, Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa, and Seabees of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 7 Oct. 15. The course included basic life saving skills, blood and shock management, patient movement, respiratory and cardiovascular emergencies as well as hands-on practice of cardiovascular pulmonary resuscitation.
