Fort Bragg, N.C. - U.S. Army Central hosted a ceremony to recognize Soldiers, Families and civilian volunteers at an annual volunteer award ceremony at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., April 6, 2017. The 1st Sustainment Command (Theater) co-located at Fort Bragg and Fort Knox participated via live teleconference, along with other USARCENT units.
Kathryn Ayvazian, a 1st TSC spouse was recognized for her volunteerism and contributions to the unit. She volunteered hundreds of hours to support spouses of deployed Soldiers, welcome new Soldiers to the unit, assisted in planning committees for unit events and actively participated in the unit's Family Readiness Group.
Ayvazian said that volunteering and supporting the unit and families was a fulfilling experience for her.
"I enjoy helping and knowing I'm making a difference," said Ayvazian.
