Fort Bragg, N.C. - U.S. Army Central hosted a ceremony to recognize Soldiers, Families and civilian volunteers at an annual volunteer award ceremony at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., April 6, 2017. The 1st Sustainment Command (Theater) co-located at Fort Bragg and Fort Knox participated via live teleconference, along with other USARCENT units.
Melanie Beasley, a 1st TSC spouse was recognized as USARCENT’s volunteer of the year. She volunteered hundreds of hours to support spouses of deployed Soldiers, welcome new Soldiers to the unit, assisted in planning committees for unit events and actively participated in the unit's Family Readiness Group.
"It feels good and it feels right. If you have the time, it's totally worth it," she said.
