    NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Feb. 3, 2017) -- Chief Boatswain's Mate Charla Thomason, assigned to Pre-Commissioning Unit Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), receives her chief warrant officer shoulder devices from her son and a friend during her commissioning ceremony at Naval Station Norfolk.
