Marines fire a M224 60mm lightweight mortar system to support a squad assaulting an objective on a live-fire range during a squadathon at Camp Lejeune, N.C., Jan. 12, 2017. The training gave squad leaders an opportunity to practice controlling their squads while utilizing mortar and machine gun teams.
