Boxes of 9 mm cartridges lay waiting to be loaded during the United States Marine Corps Marksmanship Competition-Far East Dec. 8 aboard Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. This year’s competition marked the first year the Marine Corps combined traditional bull’s-eye shooting with the more advanced action shooting techniques. The Marine Corps will integrate the new competition system in all of its shooting competition in the upcoming year.
