During a training exercise at Fort A. P. Hill, Va., July 23, a National Guard infantry Soldier struggles to push over a barrier at the perimeter of a military police checkpoint, with a military police officer fighting his attempt. The training was conducted in preparation for the Boy Scout 2010 National Scout Jamboree. The JTF’s goal is to provide professional military support and a safe and secure environment for Scouts and visitors during the event. The Department of Defense’s presence and effort at the NSJ emphasizes the commitment to the nation’s youth.
