Sgt. Sigmund Furtado, Joint Task Force-National Scout Jamboree, attempts to quiet a National Guard infantry Soldier posing as a protester during a protest training exercise at Fort A.P. Hill, Va., July 23.
Both units made their way to Virginia from Missouri and New Jersey in support of the Boy Scout National Scout Jamboree. The JTF’s goal is to provide professional military support and a safe and secure environment for Scouts and visitors during the event. The Department of Defense' presence and effort at the NSJ emphasizes the commitment to the nation’s youth.
