    South Carolina National Guard

    A South Carolina Army National Guard CH-47 Chinook heavy-lift cargo helicopter and a UH-60 Black Hawk medium-lift utility helicopter assigned to 59th Aviation Troop Command and crews based respectively in Greenville and Eastover, South Carolina support the South Carolina Forestry Commission to contain a remote fire near the top of Pinnacle Mountain in Pickens County, South Carolina, Nov. 17, 2016. The aircraft is equipped with a Bambi Bucket, which can be filled with any available water to be transported and dumped on the fire. National Guard Soldiers supported state and local firefighting efforts against multiple wildfires in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Kentucky.
