Colombian Air Force Col. Juan C. Rocha, 12th Air Force, Air Forces South liaison officer, and U.S. Air Force Maj. Arthur “Chip” Barton, 12th Air Force, ride on a South Carolina Army National Guard CH-47 Chinook from Det. 1, Bravo Company, 2-238th General Support Aviation Battalion with Soldiers from Donaldson Field in Greenville, South Carolina, that responded to a request for help from the South Carolina Forestry Commission to contain fires burning near the top of Pinnacle Mountain in in Pickens County, South Carolina, Nov. 15, 2016. The aircraft is equipped with a Bambi Bucket, which can be filled with any available water to be transported and dumped on the fire. National Guard Soldiers supported state and local firefighting efforts against multiple wildfires in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Kentucky.
