ARABIAN GULF (Nov 7, 2016) Petty Officer 2nd Class Carlah Robbins, from Farmington, Maine, performs an 84-day inspection on an F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the Fighting Swordsmen of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 32 in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Robbins serves aboard Ike as an aviation structural mechanic (safety equipment). Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
