ARABIAN GULF (Nov 7, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Jeric Eslabra, from San Francisco, opens panels on an F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the Fighting Swordsmen of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 32 for a 336-day inspection in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Elsabra serves aboard Ike as an aviation structural mechanic. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
