ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 23, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Jocelyn Edens, from Chicago, hooks up the M299 launcher for testing aboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Richardson serves aboard Ike as a aviation ordinanceman and is responsible for constructing, testing, and loading ordnance for the ship. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
