The Wire Platoon with Communications Company, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Fwd) has been responsible for the task of installing a more reliable multi-network communications system in support of 1st Iraqi Army Division. "We provided better service for them, faster service," said Bouttavong. It speeds up the process of training Iraqi soldiers, said 25-year-old 1st Lt. Steven A. Ekdahl, Military Transition Team communications officer. "(The mission) could not happen without (Communications Company), period, end of story," said Ekdahl, a native of Frankfurt, Ill.
