KOTA KINABALU, Malaysia (Oct. 17, 2016) Petty Officer 1st Class Matthew Bender, assigned to the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20), reads a book to a child from the Bukit Harapan orphanage as part of Project Handclasp. Project Handclasp provides humanitarian, educational and good will material to disadvantaged people in foreign countries through direct person-to-person contact through community relations endeavors. Green Bay, part of the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group, is operating in Kota Kinabalu in support of security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
