161010-N-YG104-004 TARLAC, Philippines (Oct. 10, 2016) Philippine Marines join Sailors and Marines from Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, to share rice and vegetables that were steam cooked in a banana leaf during the Philippine Amphibious Landing Exercise 33 (PHIBLEX). PHIBLEX 33 is an annual U.S.-Philippine military bilateral exercise that combines amphibious landing and live-fire training with humanitarian civic assistance efforts to strengthen interoperability and working relationships.
