Petty Officer 2nd Class Raymond Fabbilli, information systems technician, mans the rails aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans as the ship departs San Diego on a scheduled three-month deployment. New Orleans is departing Naval Station San Diego to participate in Southern Partnership Station, an annual deployment of U.S. military training teams to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility in the Caribbean and Latin America.
