SAN PEDRO, California – Service members participated in the opening ceremony and lighting of the torch for the 2016 POW/MIA Action Memorial Torch Relay at U.S. Coast Guard Base Los Angels/Long Beach on September 15, 2016. Commander Jose Pena, Commanding Officer, U.S. Coast Guard Base Los Angeles/Long Beach gives a speach on the importance of POW/MIA remeberance and the significance of the Torch Memorial Relay.
