SAN PEDRO, California – Service members participated in the opening ceremony and lighting of the torch for the 2016 POW/MIA Action Memorial Torch Relay at U.S. Coast Guard Base Los Angels/Long Beach on September 15, 2016. Military members from several different branches of service participate in running a course from U.S. Coast Guard Base Los Angeles/ Long Beach in through several coastal cities to the finish line at U.S. Air Force Base Los Angeles, in recognition and remembrance of National POW/MIA day.
