Pfc. Marlon A. Valencia, a 19-year-old rifleman from Granbury, Texas, peers at his surroundings in Sadiquiyah, Iraq. Valencia and other members of I Company, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment were setting up vehicle control points in the area to detour insurgency. Valencia is a machine gunner. He is currently serving a seven-month deployment in the Habbaniyah area under Regimental Combat Team 5.
