160831-N-VQ947-085 YOKOSUKA, Japan (Aug. 31, 2016) Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class (SW/AW) Tiffany Stiers, from Kansas City, Missouri, helps Boatswain’s Mate Seaman (SW) Charlotte Rivera, from Miami, pull a mooring line in the forecastle of the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), following the ship’s return to port. The mooring lines anchor the ship to the pier and prevent the ship from drifting while it is docked. Ronald Reagan provides a combat-ready force, which protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
