During a visit to Gonaives, Maj. Gen. Simeon Trombitas, commanding general, JTF-Haiti, speaks with MINUSTAH forces. Trombitas took the morning to sit down with World Food Program officials and MINUSTAH force commanders and discuss the upcoming preparations in place for the rainy season. Gonaives suffered major damage from tropical storms several years back and is still feeling the effects of the damage. Officials want to be better prepared should storms of that magnitude hit the area.
