Maj. Gen. Simeon Trombitas, commanding general, JTF-Haiti, and Maj. Gen. Luiz Guilherme Paul Cruz, force commander, MINUSTAH, arrived at MINUSTAH headquarters in Gonaives for a meeting with MINUSTAH commanders and World Food Program officials. The group went over plans in place for the upcoming rainy season. Gonaives suffered major damage from tropical storms several years back and is still feeling the effects of the damage. Officials want to be better prepared should storms of that magnitude hit the area.
