160811-N-ZZ999-002 001 NIIHAU, Hawaii (Aug.11, 2016) Builder 2nd Class Andrew Quiroga guides Construction Mechanic Constructionman Lucas Jackson, Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2, through the pre-start up maintenance procedures of two air compressors used to replenish air in SCUBA tanks. UCT 2’s Construction Dive Detachment Bravo (CDDB) is utilizing MK 20 cable cutters at depths greater than 100 feet to remove ten targets at the Pacific Missile Range Facility, Barking Sands, which have surpassed their intended lifespan. CDDB is on the first stop of their deployment, where they are conducting inspection, maintenance, and repair of various underwater and waterfront facilities in support of the Pacific Fleet.
