160810-N-ZZ999-001 BARKING SANDS, Hawaii (Aug.10, 2016) Senior Chief Construction Electrician Adam Winters, assigned to Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2, directs a boat crew prior to hoisting up an underwater target that had just been recovered by UCT 2 divers. UCT 2’s Construction Dive Detachment Bravo (CDDB) is utilizing MK 20 cable cutters at depths greater than 100 feet to remove ten targets at the Pacific Missile Range Facility, Barking Sands, which have surpassed their intended lifespan. CDDB is on the first stop of their deployment, where they are conducting inspection, maintenance, and repair of various underwater and waterfront facilities in support of the Pacific Fleet.
