Servicemembers, family, and friends tour the new Staff Sgt. Edwardo Loredo Child Development Center on Pope Army Airfield, N.C., Aug. 12, 2016. Fort Bragg community members held a ceremony to dedicate the facility in honor of the sacrifice of Loredo, a Paratrooper assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, who was killed by an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan on June 24, 2010. Jennifer Loredo, the Paratrooper's spouse, and the Fort Bragg Child, Youth and School Services dedicated the hourly-care facility to the memory of the Paratrooper, whose family were patrons of the installation's Child Development Centers.
