Paratroopers of the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, help set up for the ceremony to name the new Staff Sgt. Edwardo Loredo Child Development Center on Pope Army Airfield, N.C., Aug. 12, 2016. The ceremony honored the sacrifice of Loredo, a Paratrooper assigned to the 2nd Bn., 508th PIR, who was killed by an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan on June 24, 2010. Jennifer Loredo, the Paratrooper's spouse, and the Fort Bragg Child, Youth and School Services dedicated the hourly-care facility to the memory of the Paratrooper, whose family were patrons of the installation's Child Development Centers.
