Cpl. Tate J. Sherman (Right) acts as a position safety officer during live fire range training, July 12, 2016, at Ovalau, Fiji, as part of a multi-national, bilateral exercise with the Republic of Fiji Military Forces. During the exercise the service members conducted jungle survival training, patrol base operation training, live fire ranges and jungle scenario training to increase interoperability and relations. Sherman is an infantryman with Task Force Koa Moana, and is originally assigned to Company B, 1st Marine Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force.
