Cpl. Tony C. Alvarez fires an M4 Carbine during live fire training with Marines and Fijian Soldiers, July 12, 2016, at Ovalau, Fiji, as part of a multi-national, bilateral exercise between the nations. During the exercise the service members conducted jungle survival training, live fire ranges and patrol base operation training to increase interoperability and relations. Alvarez, from Luling, Louisiana, is an infantryman with Task Force Koa Moana, and is originally assigned to Headquarters and Service Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force.
