CHICAGO (June 14, 2016) – Rear Adm. Stephen C. Evans, commander, Naval Service Training Command (NSTC), speaks to soon-to-be Seaman Recruit Gbolahon Olarenwaju, 21, from Chicago, and members of the 2016 Chicago White Sox Special Recruit Division before the Chicago White Sox game against the Detroit Tigers at U. S. Cellular Field here, June 14. The admiral enlisted 82 young men from the Chicago-area, Indiana, and Wisconsin at the 32nd annual Chicago White Sox Navy Night. It was the 32nd time the White Sox have sponsored a recruit division at the U. S. Navy’s only boot camp, Recruit Training Command (RTC) at Naval Station Great Lakes, Ill. Evans was the quest of honor for the event and threw out the first pitch after enlisting the new recruits during pregame ceremonies saluting the Navy. (U. S. Navy photo by Scott A.
