U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, infiltrate Camp Prizren in Kosovo by UH60 Black Hawk during Operation Sharp Griffin. Sharp Griffin, a 36-hour operational readiness exercise, tested the military decision making process and crowd riot control capabilities of the German Armed Forces stationed in Kosovo. The U.S. Army Soldiers served as reserve forces to the German contingent. U.S.
and NATO forces have contributed to the United Nations-mandated peacekeeping
mission in Kosovo since June 1999.
